PCG Capital and our commercial real estate development partner, PCGRE, are proud to announce that we have officially broken ground on construction for Wildwood Highlands Sports & Entertainment Complex. In a ceremony on July 31st, members of PCG Capital, PCGRE, the Hampton Community, and many others gathered together to celebrate the beginning of construction on the upcoming Wildwood Sports Dome. The President of PCGRE, Kevin Riley, kicked of the ceremony by introducing our influential speakers, Jeff Esswein, PCG Capital’s VP of Sports and Recreation, Michael Peters, Council President of Hampton Township, and Brian Shanahan, Managing Partner of PCG Capital.
The consensus among all was how significant this dome will be for the North Hills Community and how it can change the community for the better. It has always been the goal of PCG Capital to get kids off the couch and into sports and this could not be possible without the help of Michael Peters, Chris Lochner and the rest if the Hampton Community.
The plan for Wildwood Sports & Entertainment Complex is to provide the community and the surrounding area with a state-of-the-art sports complex that is missing from that region. Not only will there continue to be a functioning entertainment center and mini-golf, but the Sports Complex will add another element to the well-known North Hills’ destination. The FIFA regulation-sized field will allow athletes and teams of all ages and skill levels around the area to play all year round, and allows for baseball, soccer, football, lacrosse, and many more on a high-grade turf that is safe for players of all ages. Truly, the possibilities are endless.
Another aspect that we hope this Sports Complex will bring is community development. The communities surrounding Wildwood Highlands are already very strong, but we hope this campus will a place for those neighborhoods to come together in a friendly and competitive arena to take their sportsmanship and their talents to the next level. This new addition to campus will also provide a number of new job opportunities and tourism in the area.
The Sports Complex has been designed with the help of OBA Design and the construction will be done by A. Martini & Co. The Sports Complex is projected to be done in late 2018, so keep your eye out for more updates on the construction timeline and other changes that may be coming. Also, we would just like everyone to know that the Entertainment Center and Mini-Golf will be open for the duration of construction, so stop by for some good times at Wildwood Highlands.
